I had a wonderful evening at the Harrington Lakes Plantation Book Club in Venice, Florida. They had great questions on publishing, writing process, and second careers. If your book club reads one of my books, let me know. I'd love to attend either in person or via Zoom.

October 14, 2023

(FLGC Sinc President Barbara Ryan and me ready for questions)

On October 14, 2023, The Island Bookshop in Venice, Florida, hosted nine featured authors from our anthology, Paradise is Deadly – Gripping Tales from Florida’s Gulf Coast.

After a spread of cheese and crackers, a selection of fruit, cookies, and wine, Michael, one of the bookshop owners, welcomed the attendees to the event and introduced Teresa Michael, the Anthology Committee Chairperson.

Each author introduced herself and talked a little about their respective stories. Barbara Ryan, one of the editors, and Gwen Mayo, from Mystery and Horror, LLC, the publisher, spoke about their part in bringing the anthology to publication. The floor was then opened to lots of excellent questions and discussion from the audience, followed by book signings where the authors signed their stories.

The featured authors were Tracy Ann, Anne Carter, Sarah Glenn, Cynthia Harrison, Cindy Martin, Gwen Mayo, Teresa Michael, Stephanie Palmarosa, and Barbara Ryan.

Thanks to Aimee and Michael from The Island Bookshop for hosting this event and supporting local authors.
