Murder with a Terrace View Gets a 5+ star rating from N. N. Light’s Book Heaven
Murder with a Terrace View was released on September 3rd by Palmetto Publishing.
I was so excited that Murder with a Terrace View received 5+ star rating. Here’s the link:

It’s available at all of your favorite online retailers, at the Island Bookshop in Venice, Florida, and at the gift shops of Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota and the Sarasota Memorial Hospital – Venice campus.
Work in Progress – Working Title Murder in the Rose Garden.
I hit the 50,000-word mark last week, and I’m winding down the mystery. This is book 2 in the Harrington House mystery series. Here’s the current blurb:
Molly Harrington, owner of Harrington House Bed and Breakfast, finds herself entangled in another murder investigation when a wedding planner is found dead at a country club event. With a mysterious NDA, a threatening muscle car, and a private investigator posing as an antique dealer, Molly must navigate a web of secrets and suspects before she becomes the next victim.
The publication goals for this book are to have it to the editor in the early 1st quarter of 2025 and hopefully publish it in the early 2nd quarter of 2025, but the publishing gods may have other ideas.
Travel
In August, I was in Nashville for my first Killer Nashville convention in Franklin, TN, and then on to the Gaylord Opryland for the Bouchercon World Mystery Convention. In between the two conferences, I spent a couple of nights at Margaritaville Nashville. I took in the Country Music Hall of Fame, a trolley tour of Nashville, and a nighttime true crime walking tour of Nashville. I had a great time but was exhausted by the time I got home. I enjoyed both conferences. I moderated a panel discussion at each conference and met new authors and readers. I even sold a few books at the Discovery Zone for indie authors. Unfortunately, SleuthFest scheduled for September 26-29 in St. Petersburg was canceled due to Hurricane Helene. It has been rescheduled for May 14-18 at the same location, St. Petersburg Hilton.

What Have You Been Reading and Watching?
If you want a fun mystery and adventure series, check out the Turner and Mosely series by Lyndee Walker and Bruce Robert Coffin, The General’s Gold, The Cardinal’s Curse, and The Pirate’s Secret. I am currently listening to The Pirate’s Secret. I really like the narrator, Alan Carlson. Our book club most recently read Horse by Geraldine Brooks. It has multiple time periods, from the Civil War to the art scene of the fifties and sixties to the near present. I highly recommend it. On the subject of horses, check out Annette Dashofy’s Death by Equine. I also read Karin Slaughter’s latest Will Trent thriller, This is Why We Lied, and Rhys Bowen’s latest standalone, The Rose Arbor. I just finished Louise Penny’s latest Chief Inspector Gamache novel, The Grey Wolf, and I’m currently reading Michael Connelly’s new Renee Ballard mystery, The Waiting. I’ve read 68 books so far this year.
As far as television shows – have you seen the latest season of The Diplomat – OMG!!! I also started watching the second season of The Lioness and the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building. What are your favorite new shows?
